I need to delete her name and all information except that she is the wife of John Phillips.

Originally I confused the wives of William H. Craig and John Phillips. Amanda Jane Smith is William's wife, not John's wife.

I have a photo of John's wife and erroneously put Amanda Jane's info there. I need to delete all that info except the fact that she is John Phillip's wife. I can't figure out how to make that change.

Can't you just disconnect her from John Phillips and connect her to William? Then you can just create the appropriate wife for John Phillips.

You can disconnect relationships in edit mode.

First you make sure that you have profiled William H. Craig. You can then detach Amanda Jane Unknown from Mr. Phillips and attach her to Mr Craig.

Before you do THAT you need to create the Unknown Woman who is the mother of the children of John Phillips -- there's 8 of them.  Having created her, Unknown Unknown (mother of 8), you attach HER to John Phillips. And also attach her to the 8 children.

THEN you remove Amanda Jane as a spouse of John Phillips and attach HER to Mr William H Craig.

The only info you actually have for Amanda is birth info and death info and does that change at all?

Susan, I have to disagree.  The last thing we need is an Unknown Unknown with no birth or death dates.  There is no reason why the mother of John Phillips' children has to have a profile here.  As Lucy suggested, Amanda Jane can be detached from John Phillips and all his children, after which she can be attached to William Craig.  Of course, all this is provided that there are sources showing that she is the wife of Mr. Craing.

Ah, okay, John Phillips would then be left with the reputation (published here) of having 8 "motherless" children and never a wife.  Works for me. I don't suppose he's guilty of worse, of course.
