Greta and I are7th cousins, once removed,both descended from John Hash.  I am also 16 degrees from her as her ancestor was the sister of mine.

Greta and I are 11th cousins, both descended from Matthew Howard (Anne Arundel, Maryland) on my parent's side but I'm 22 steps from her on my husband's side.  One big happy family!

Anne Arundel, Maryland is one of those early settlements.  Many of the Anne Arundel settlers came from Jamestown, but I think Matthew Howard came from England.

Me too.  Greta is my 10th cousin through Greta's Matthew Howard, Osborne, Dixon lines. Matthew Howard came from England (parentage unknown) and first settled in Virginia and then migrated to Maryland.

Howdy, Greta. Old John had two daughters, one was Priscilla Ann and the other was Ann -- you are desc from Priscilla Ann and I from Ann ... I'm a tad dubious about why Priscilla is Priscilla Ann and the other one is Ann and wonder if they are the same woman; or whether Priscilla was really Priscilla Ann or just Priscilla; or ... but someone else has that research project in their future LOL

Greta and I are supposed to be 13th cousins once removed, me through my maternal line. I can confirm with documents back to Tirzah (Biggers) Hinson. Beyond that, it's speculation but ... Howdy, Cousin!
