New here. Recently started sharing my geneology research again

Question

HI, I am new here. I am a retired 60 something grandma with many interests and hobbies. In cleaning out some papers recently, I came across a printout of my ancestors, up to my great grandparents. I had transcribed a handwritten geneology from the 1950s into a GEDCOM many years ago. So, I decided to see where to use it and came across Wikitree. I was surprised that many of my ancestors were not already recorded. I also have a copy of a book, Zadock Bliss, Keziah Haskins Bliss: Historical and geneological records of their descendants to 1951. This was before I was born, but my father is listed in that book. I can't seem to locate the original book or handwritten geneology but I am slowly working through the GEDCOM to add what I know here.

There are several other Bliss researchers here . . . I've seen them asking questions, too. You'll probably all be connected sooner or later, so keep digging!

Hi, So happy you joined the ever growing family at WikiTree.I don't have any of the names listed in my family tree . But if you have any roots that bring you to Western Nova Scotia Acadian maybe I can Help.

Well, wikitree has 20 million + profiles, but the US population is about 350 million. So the odds of having a wikitree family is less than 1/17 (actually it's pretty hard to calculate.)

Thank you for adding your parents and grandparents to WikiTree.  As you continue to add ancestors, hopefully you will be able to connect to the main WikiTree tree.

Thanks for the welcome, I can't believe it has only been 5 days. I have discovered quite a few new things and have connected to the tree through an ancestor.
