Additionally, he was married to a woman named Alice and he possibly had a brother named Willie Witcher who was married to a woman named Zinky or Hinky who was also a mulatto.

Hey! I believe I've found Alex and Alice on several censuses. And I beleive he's the Alex Witcher who married Alice Watson on 21 DEC 1894 in Lowndes,Alabama. I'll working on adding some sources to Alex's profile on wikitree (Witcher-325)

Found his death cert and his family on the 1880 census! Parents are Henry and Julia Witcher. I've linked all the records in the profile.

Henry Witcher married Julia Ann Martins on 3 Jan 1873 in Lowdens.

"Alabama County Marriages, 1809-1950," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKZS-G3CZ : 4 November 2017), Henry Witcher and Julia Ann Martin, 03 Jan 1873; citing Lowndes, Alabama, United States, County Probate Courts, Alabama; FHL microfilm 1,293,893.

Anyway good luck with the rest of your search! There are lots of free records on family search so I would start there. https://www.familysearch.org/

Oh FYI "Wither" seems to be common mispelling of the name "Witcher" so make sure to search for that name too.
