Biography

Rice was born in Connecticut in about 1792.[1][2][3][4] He was the son of Aaron Baldwin and Experience Hart.[3][4]

Rice came to Elba, New York in about 1825.[3]

In 1822, Rice married Phebe McCrillus. Rice and Phebe had the following children:[3][4]

  1. Elvira Jane
  2. Eunice Experience
  3. Phebe Janette
  4. William Hart
  5. Milton Rice
  6. Flavius Josephus
  7. Aaron McCrillus
  8. Eleanor Henrietta
  9. Lucy Joanna


After Phebe's death, Rice married Lucy Wheelock of Batavia. Rice and Lucy had the following children:[3]

  1. Henry C.
  2. Adelbert W.
  3. Charity
  4. Albert Charles
  5. Francelia Serepta (Frances)
  6. Fredus W.
  7. Belle

Rice passed away in 1864 and is buried in Cary Cemetery in Oakfield, New York.[5][6][7]
