Biography
Martha Chandler was born in 1840 in Franklin County, Georgia. She is the daughter of Ambrose Chandler and Jerusha White Chandler.
On the 1850 Census, she was listed as a 10 year old female living in Carroll County, Georgia with her parents and siblings. She attended school, and her birthplace was listed as Georgia. [1]
She married Hiram Mathis on December 13, 1859 in Carroll County, Georgia. [2]
