Ona Mae Evans was born September of 1686 to John W. Evans and Nancy M. Hunton.

She married John Thomas Mayes December 16, 1883 in Denton, Texas. They had ten children.

After the death of John Mayes, she married William Shepherd. They had no children.

After the death of William Shepherd, she married Eli Fellows. They had no children.

Ona passed away April 19, 1938 in Oregon, and is buried in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery (formerly Mt. Scott Cemetery), in Portland, Oregon.
