Private Michael Faris served with Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.
The surname "Faris" is spelled several different ways, including Faris, Farris, Feris, Ferris, Faries, and Feries. My line of Faris' from John Green Faris, always spells the name Faris.
Some information in this entry is accurate based on the Wilkinson family history by Lillie Wilkinson, which is in my possession.
Lillie's manuscript includes a transcription of the Appraisal of MIchael Farris' Estate, found in Will Book A, pages 216-217, on record in Madison County Clerks Office, Richmond, Kentucky.
