The Mangum Star, February 5, 1973. Westmoreland Funeral Service is Held Today. Mrs. P. C. Westmoreland, 78, passed away suddenly on Friday afternoon, February 2, 1973. Funeral services were held at 4pm Monday in Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Narrah Howard officiating. Internment was in Riverside Cemetery under direction of Greer Funeral Home.

Clara Belle Westmoreland was born October 5, 1894 in Archer City, Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gresham. She was married to Phillip Westmoreland on January 1, 1917 at Archer City. They came to this area in 1924 settling at Duke and then moving near Mangum in 1935. When he retired from farming in 1954 they moved to Mangum where Mr. Westmoreland preceded her in death on February 15, 1966.

Surviving are her children, Sebe Thomas Westmoreland of DeSota, Texas; J. M. Westmoreland of Oklahoma City; Alvin Anson Westmoreland of Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. Loyd Sullivan of Mangum, 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Rowlett and John Gresham of Altus, Bed Gresham of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mrs. Alice Smith of Eldorado, Mrs. Irene Walker of Irving, Texas, and Bill Gresham of Levelland, Texas. The pall bearers included Ray Sullivan, Gilbert Langford, Raymond Williams, James Bradford, Jim Howard and Bill Moon.
