Mahulda was born about 1812. She was the daughter of William Hargis and Hannah Howell and was born in Tennessee.
Mahulda Hargis married about 1832 to John Richard Brooks (1811–1874) and they would have:
Martha Elizabeth (Brooks) Tuck 1833–1921
Lucas Thomas Brooks 1835–1909
James M. Brooks 1838–1921
Harriet Ropal (Brooks) Gammon 1841–1929
David W. Brooks 1849–1903.
In 1850[1] she was living in Macon county, Tennessee.
They remained in the same area of Macon County, Tennessee in 1860 as well[2]
She died in Dec 1869 and was buried at John Richard Brooks Cemetery in Lafayette, Macon County, Tennessee, USA. [3]
Research Notes
I amended her marriage year from 1868, as They had children born as early as 1833, so it would be not be likely they would be married that late. as well I updated her birth year from 1795 and death year of 1865 to match her Tombstone. Do not believe all of these children are her, will come back.
