Biography

Caleb Harlan, farmer, Friend, born May 9, 1755, in Newlin Township, Chester Co., Pa, and died there May 6, 1834; buried in Friends Burying Grounds at Bradford meeting House.[1]

He married by ceremony of Friends, 11-8-1781 at West Grove Meeting House, Hannah Edwards, daughter of William and Martha (Foulke) Edwards.[1]

Caleb Harlan's father left him "the house wherein I now live, with the barns, stables, and out houses, except the priviledges left to his mother during her lifetime, together with the moity or half part of all my lands with the appurtenances there unto belonging"[1]
