Biography

Nathan was born in 1736. [1]

He married Jerusha Mayo [2]on 17 Feb 1763 and they had children all born in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts including[3]:

  1. Eleazar Higgins, b. abt 1765; married Sarah Hadley August 10, 1793 in Eden, Hancock, Maine; d. February 18, 1840 in Eden, Hancock, Maine (Sarah Hadley was born circa 1773; daughter of Simeon Hadley and Olive Black. Following the death of her husband, Sally moved to Eastport, Washington Co, Maine, Nathan and Sally had eight children and many of them lived and died in the area around Eastport. Sally died on December 24, 1853 at Eastport, Washington Co, Maine.)
  2. Jennette Higgins, born circa 1767, married (Unknown) Hinkley.
  3. Joanna Higgins; born circa 1769, baptized August 27, 1780 in Eastham, Barnstable Co, MA. record states her name as Anner, child of Widow Jerusha Higgins, married Josiah Cook circa 1790; died June 23, 1842.
