Biography

Born 7-9-1781, Randolph County, North Carolina. Son of Ezra Hinshaw and Ruth Marshall.[1][2][11][12][13]

He married Sarah McMasters about 1806. Sarah, daughter of Jonathan McMasters & Hannah Hobson was born Feb 23, 1788, Randolph County, North Carolina [2][3][4][5][14]. To this union were born:

  1. Hannah Hinshaw (1808-1870)
  2. Ruth Hinshaw (1810-1862)
  3. Visa Hinshaw (1811-?)
  4. Ezra Hinshaw (1813-<1880)
  5. William Jonathan Hinshaw (1816-1889)
  6. John Hinshaw (1818-1872)
  7. Rebecca Hinshaw (1820-1887)
  8. Anna Hinshaw (1824-1867)
  9. Mary Hinshaw (1827-?)

At Cane Creek MM on 9 Mo. 3 1808, Thomas Hinshaw was disowned for his marriage out-of-unity.[5][11]
