Robert, a farmer, was married to Elizabeth and was living in Cumberland, Kentucky, in 1850. Robert was 26 and Elizabeth was 21. They had a little girl named Mary, who was just an a few months old.[2]
By 1860, Robert and his family had moved to Osceola, St. Clair County, Missouri. He was working his farm and he had four children:[3]

By 1880, two of their children had married and moved out of the house. William was 25 and Laura (Jennie) were living at home. (Robert's father was born in Georgia and his mother was born in Kentucky).[4]
Robert passed away on April 28, 1900, in St. Clair County, Kentucky. He is buried in the Thomas Cemetery in St. Clair County, Missouri.[5][6]
