http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLISH%20NOBILITY%20MEDIEVAL1.htm <- citation for the passage removed (and probably the source mentioned by Andrew)

http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/enguntdk.htm#PhilipKymeMAgnesFitzAlan <- I think this is where the citation meant to go ... includes the following about Agnes, wife of Philip (died 1242): "m ([23 Nov 1213]) AGNES, daughter of WILLIAM FitzAlan & his wife --- de Lacy. King John ordered “Johi Marasc” to value land and income from the estate pf “Willi fil Alani”, for the purposes of revenue which he had granted to “Philipp fil Sim de Kim...i maritag cum Agn filia sua”, dated 23 Nov 1213[1407]. A manuscript genealogy of the Gant family records that “Philippus de Kyma” married “Agnetem Waleys”[1408]. “Philippus de Kima” confirmed donations to Bullington priory, Lincolnshire by "avus meus Philippus de Kima", for the soul of "Agnetis sponæ meæ", by undated charter[1409]. Philip & his wife had two children:" Simon (died childless, 10 Jul 1248; m Matilda de Ferrers) & William (died before 3 Sep 1259; m Lucy de Ros)

I'd moved the text previously in the profile that sorta said the same thing to Agnes (Lindsey) de Kyme (abt.1094-), but the entry for Phlip & Agnes from Cawley's MedLands is clearly not talking about her. By the dates/relationships, it seems that the corresponding WikiTree profiles are

BUT.. that Philip's wife/mother of Simon & William in WikiTree is

citing Richardson's MCA II:511 (2011).

Looking for an Agnes FitzWilliam finds one: Agnes FitzAlan (1166-), wife of Philip de Kyme, daughter of

and... in Richardson's Royal Ancestry, volume III, page 452 KYME 6., does not give Philip's wife/mother of Simon m Maud de Ferrers & William m Lucy de Roos has his wife as Agnes _______ (not Waley, but not Fitz William either). It has Philip's parents as Simon de Kyme, son and heir of Philip (by Hawise) and Rohese de Clare, daughter of Rohese de Clare and Robert Fitz Robert.

argghh! Intro for sons in Kyme 6 (RA III:452) says Philip Kyme by Agnes Fitz Alan. And KYME 7 (RA III:452) for son William calls him the "younger son of Philip de Kyme, of Sotby and Newton Kyme, Lincolnshire, by Agnes, daughter of William Wayley." That entry has a footnote for William Kyme's wife Lucy de Roos, citing CP 7 1929 page 352 (about her parents, but maybe William's are mentioned too).

WikiTree says she is my 25x-gr-grandmother, so I adopted this orphaned profile.

The text we have here is clearly not for the person we are describing at all! Also the source we cite mentions no such person. I will mark this profile as uncertain existence.

There are so many variations for her mother's maiden/family name. FMG says her mother's last name is unknown.

Also FMG says her father was Simon ( not William ).
