Biography

Lydia Marsh was born on September 2, 1779 in Chester County, Pennsylvania or North Carolina, daughter of Gravener Marsh (1748–1832).[1]

Lydia married William Ledra McNeese (born about 1805 in Tennessee; son of [father]). Their son was John McNees (1834–1900).

Lydia (29) married Samuel J. McNeese (53) (born about 1755 in Caroline County, Maryland; son of William Isaiah McNees and Lydia Martha (Hopkins) McNees) on May 22, 1809 in Tennessee, USA. Their children were:

Lydia died on October 12, 1845 in Rheatown, Greene, Tennessee, United States, aged 66.[1]

Research Notes

She is not the child of Ann Ely Matson (1758–1796). She has an entirely different family that were all orphans in Pennsylvania by 1792,

Marsh-4511 and Marsh-9217 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be the same person as to date of birth - the second was added by accident in a gedcom merge when no valid "match" appeared.

I think this may need to be moved up a generation -- Lydia's birth year is given as 1775, while her father's is 1779 and mother is 1781. She's likely the elder Gravenor Marsh's child, and her "father" as listed here is her brother.
