Biography

John Erastus Martin was born in 1823. He is the son of Daniel Martin and Elizabeth Livers. [1]

Erastus Martin married Susanna Ida Miller February 6, 1844, at the old St. Mary's Church, near Mount Saint Mary's College, Frederick county, MD. After living at Frederick briefly, the young couple made their home at Catoctin Furance, Frederick county, MD. He was named in memory of his mother's deceased and only brother, Erastus Livers. [2]

John Erastus Martin died on 20 Aug 1902 in Catoctin Furnace, Frederick County, Maryland, USA. He was buried at the Mount Prospect Cemetery in Lewistown, Frederick County, Maryland, USA.
