Biography

Joseph was born about 1879. He is the son of Robert Nicol and Helen Granger.

In 1881, at age 2, Joseph is living at Barn Street Grangers Land, in Strathaven, Lanarkshire, with his parents Robert age 40, Helen age 39, and his siblings Andrew age 13, Helen age 10 and Bella age 5.

In 1891, at age 12, Joseph is living in Thomson Street, Strathaven, Lanarkshire, with his parents Robert age 50, Helen age 48, and his brother Andrew age 23.

In 1901, at age 21, Joseph is living in at Montgomery Street, Larkhall, Lanarkshire, with his parents Robert age 60, Helen age 58, and his sisters, Helen age 30 and Bella age 26. Joseph was a cabinetmaker.

In 1907, Joseph married Jessie Allan McGill at Larkhall, Lanarkshire.

He died at age 67, and he is buried in Larkhall cemetery, Larkhall, Scotland with his wife Jessie and his son Frank.
