Biography
James was born in 1669. [1] James Ormand Sr and his son James Ormand Jr. moved to Mecklenburg, NC, some time in the 1740s. He passed away in 1766.[1] Burial: Providence Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States [1]

Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery Records Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery Records (Mecklenburg county, NC) indicate James Ormand,Sr's dates of birth and death as 1669 to Feb 20,1766. The date of death must be correct correct since the earliest grave in this cemetery dates from 1764. Cemetery also contains grave of James Ormand, Jr. 1719 - Dec. 3, 1771 No indication of wife for either.Indeed these are the only two Ormands in the church yard.
