Biography
Stephen was born c.1786 in Illogan, Cornwall.[1][2]
1841[1] : In Illogan, Cornwall : Stephen Oxnam (copper miner, age 55), with (presumed) wife Catharine (50) and children William (copper miner, 20), James (copper miner, 15), Thomas (copper miner, 13), Catharine (11), and Joseph (7). Also in the household is Mary Francis (age 25, apparently Stephen's daughter per the 1851 census). All b. in county.
1851[2] : In Illogan, Cornwall : Stephen Oxnam (copper miner, widowed, age 65), with children Mary Francis (housekeeper, married, 35), Catharine (unmarried, miner labourer, 21) and Joseph (unmarried, copper miner, 17), all b. Illogan.
Stephen died in 1853 in Redruth, Cornwall.[3]
