Biography
John George Persinger was born 1756 in Virginia, to Jacob Persinger Sr, a Captain in the French and Indian War who emigrated to the US from Deutschland, and Rebecca Elizabeth (?) of Virginia. John married Elizabeth Catherine Kummerlin November 10, 1778, in Botetourt Co., Virginia. Their children include James Persinger/Hardy (changed his last name), Elizabeth, Michael, Phoebe, Nancy, William, Jacob, John, Luke Barbary, and Alexander. John died 1811 in Kanawah County, Virginia.

John Persinger-71 and John Persinger-504 appear to represent the same person. John Persinger-71 also shares the same birth date as Jacob Persinger-316, even though the Biography of John Persinger -71 states he was born about 1756.

Note on comment below: I found the marriage reference for John & Elizabeth, changed the dates and added the reference. Four Days Different!! Confusion is no wonder.

This couple is probably a conflation of 2 families [see Jacob Persinger-316:Mary Kimberlin-65]. Two brothers married 2 sisters, not uncommon at this time & place. Both sets of parents are the same. 7 of 9 Kimberlin(g) siblings and 7 of 8 Persinger siblings are the same as my research; the rest are middle name confusions. Marriage date is the same as my sourced marriage record for 316/65. As for the children, Elizabeth and Jane are in my records, along with 2 sons Andrew and Alexander, my John was born in 1801 not 1779, and there are 6 other children, one my 2-greats grandmother. I'll keep researching and incorporating well-sourced data into 316/65; maybe that will help with this couple.
