Edward Varner Pollard Sr was born on 4 Apr 1799 in Virginia, United States, son of John Pollard (~1760 - ~1848) and Catherine (Nichols) Pollard (~1770 - ~1834).

In the 1860 census Edwerd (age 59) was at 5th District, White, Tennessee, United States.[4] Edwerd V Pollerd 59, Thursey Pollerd 58, Edward Pollerd 22, Thomas Pollerd 21, Benjamin Pollerd 19, Lucey Clairbon 31.

In the 1870 census Edward (age 70) was the head of household in White, Tennessee, United States.[5] Edward Pollard 70, America Pollard 38, James Pollard 14, Richard Pollard 12, Elizabeth Pollard 11, Larcitta Pollard 9, Fredore Pollard 6, Nancy Pollard 0.

Edward died on 10 Sep 1878 in White, Tennessee aged 79. He is buried in Pollard - Norris Cemetery, White County, Tennessee.[6]
