DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Martha by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.

Find-a-Grave and other sites have different parents for this Martha (Ruffin) Ainsworth:
The parents I've usually seen for her the ones on Find-a-Grave, which shows her mother as Sara Ann Baggett, which is why her middle name is Baggett. The Baggetts have multiple connections to the Ainsworth and Ruff lines, if I recall correctly.
Her husband William Thomas Ainsworth is my paternal great-great uncle. To resolve any confusion about her parentage, there is a Smith County MS group on Facebook and there is almost always someone on there from these families who knows for sure who the parents were in cases like this.
