Biography

Pierre Sauvé was born November 7 1756, in Boulogne, France. [1]
He married Rosalie Segond . We know of the marriage and approximate date because we have birth records for two children. A search of the New Orleans volumes didn't find a marriage record. Perhaps a search of the originals which are published by the archdiocese archives would be fruitful.
Together they had at least 2 children:
  1. Honorine Adelaide Sauvé[2]
  2. Pedro Pablo b. Mar. 20, 1797, bn. Feb. 7, 1797 (SLC, B14, 27). He died a few weeks after birth and was buried May 26, 1797 (SLC, F4, 46). [3]
"Pedro Sauve" (given the Spanish version of his name by the Spanish church officials), died in Louisiana and was buried on July 07, 1822 in St. Louis Cathedral Catholic Cemetery, New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana, United States.[4]

The baptism is on the middle of the left page, you can see the word "Sauvé" with a prominent accent aigu in the margin.
