Nancey Culpeper was enumerated at Post Office Alpha, Ward #5, Laurel Hill, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana for the September 8, United States Census, 1860. She was noted as born 1819 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male C S Culpeper, male W W Culpeper, female Margarett Culpeper, female M E Culpeper, female Sarah A Culpeper, male James B Culpeper, female Elizabeth Culpeper, male Charles J Culpeper and female Laura Culpeper.^[1]

N M Culpepper was enumerated as self at 2nd Ward, Jackson Parish, Louisiana for the June 22, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as keeping house, born 1831 in Georgia and widowed as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are son James B Culpepper, daughter-in-law Sarah J Culpepper, grandson Charles E Culpepper, granddaughter May L Culpepper, son C S Culpepper, son W M Culpepper, son Allen S Culpepper and daughter Kate K Culpepper.^[2]

Nancy Smith was listed as the mother of Witt Malory Culpepper who died March 10, 1952 in Chatham, Jackson Parish, Louisiana. The father was listed as C S Culpepper and the wife C Culpepper.^[3]
