DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Susan by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Susan:
Hiram Marshill was my 3G-grandfather, and my father had a Bible of his, by way of my G-grandmother Laura Marshall, by way of her brother John Marshall (b Apr 25, 1866). The inscription inside the front cover had "Hiram Marshill's Book", followed by "John Marshall, Aprile the 25 1866". Inside the back cover: Benjamin Marshill born 24 Dec 1761 (died 14 Aug 1812), Then Charity 20 Sept 1781, then Sarah, etc (apparently the children, all with "Marshill", b dates 1789-1812). I have thus used Marshill for the generations before John and Laura. The Bible was in my sister's possession, but is now lost, although I have my transcription from it.
People in this family use Marshill, Marshal, and Marshall more or less interchangeably. I don't know which should be picked, but there is a duplicate husband here. I made them an unmerged match.
