Biography

Sarah Spear was born in 1723 in Maine, daughter of Robert Spear (~1682–1763) and Mary Phinney ( –1771).

Sarah (16) married John Giveen (21) (born about 1718 in Coleraine, Londonderry, Ireland; son of David Giveen and Mary (Robinson) Giveen) in 1740. Their children were:

Sarah died on April 7, 1809 in Brunswick, Cumberland, District of Maine, aged 85. She was buried in First Parish Cemetery, Brunswick, Cumberland County, Maine.[6][7]
