William was born about 1748 and baptised on the 18th December 1748 at Wandsworth, Surrey, England, the son of William Blackborn and Frances Blackborn[1][2].
On the 5th November 1773, William married Ann Ray at All Saints, Wandsworth, Surrey, England[5].
William's wife Ann died aged 53 years in 1800 and was buried on the 23rd August 1800 at Wandsworth, Surrey, England[6]. Widower William married Widow Elizabeth Laurence on the 1st January 1802 at All Saints, Wandsworth, Surrey, England. Witnessed by Harriott Adams and Nancy Ray Johnson[7]
In 1810, William was the executor of the will of his son William[4] who died about June 1810 and this may have prompted him to write his own will.
William wrote his will in September 1810. He named his wife Elizabeth and his daughters Nancy Ray Johnson and Betsey Blackbourn[3].
He passed away aged 68 years in 1816 and was buried at Wandsworth, London, England[8]. His will was proven on the 22nd June 1816[3].
