Biography

Ebenezer Haughton was born in New London, Connecticut Colony, 27 September 1732.^[1] Ebenezer was the son of Ebenezer Houghton and his wife, Kaziah. See Research Notes for "Did he die in Hebron, 1814? ... His alleged gravestone is unreadable."

Ebenezer Horton, Jr. married in Hebron, Connecticut Colony, 26 December 1754, Temperance Shipman,^[2] the daughter of Dr. Samuel Shipman and his wife, Martha Shipman.^[3][4][5]

13. ↑ The sole source for this second Hannah Horton is the detail on her gravestone image; if there were not other children born to the parens, there is an eighteen year gap between her birth and that of her next older sibling. Her mother would have been about age 48 at the time of this Hannah's birth.
