My apologies for the error. I originally posted this as headstone as belonging to Lt Col Johann Peter Hedrick without carefully looking it over. Having just returned to this profile after years of neglect, I noticed that this headstone, as well as the monument also posted with Peter Sr were in North Carolina (then looked at the birth date, which as others pointed out belong to the son rather than the father). Thanks to the others who pointed out the error. I will move both pics to the profile of the son Johann Peter (Heydrich) Hedrick
