Where have you resided since discharge?
I was discharged at Readville, Massachusetts and came to Boston and stayed a good while. Then went to New York - then to Niagara Falls - Then went back to Buffalo and run on a boat, "Morning Star," to Lake Superior then to Detroit - I went to Soldiers Home in Grand Rapids Michigan. Was there three years. Then went to Benton Harbor Michigan, then to Maine Indiana Home and was there three months - Then I went to Quincy Illinois Home and stayed about three months. Then to Dayton Ohio Home and was there two months. I left the last named home six months ago and went to Detroit Michigan.
What was your rank in the Army?
I was a Private.
