Who were the Officers of your Company B 54 Massachusetts? [Researcher note: Co. B was 55]
Shaw was Colonel and Colonel Halloway [Researcher note: Hallowell] went from Massachusetts with the regiment.
Captain Nutt was my captain. Lieutenant Phelps. Captain Nutt was in the 55th and Captain Smith in 54th Company B.
Who were the Sergeants?
Sergeant Wilson - (John) I think - "I forgot his name."
Were there any other Sergeants?
No sir. We had only one Sergeant when we left here.

There - was a drummer - named "Taylor" William H. Harris was my bunk mate. I furnished
