Last week I went to the Court House in Detroit Michigan for aid. - "To the soldiers aid man." - and he looked at my papers and told me I belonged in Boston Massachusetts; and so my wife and I came TBD here and arrived here a week ago to day - and when I applied for State aid, the doubted my papers and sent for you.
I have heard this statement read so far - and you misunderstood me. Where you have written "Company B" 54 Regiment It should be Company "D" It was Company D I served in.
That is right, Company "D."
Where did your Company and Regiment do duty? i.e. where were they stationed?
We went from Boston Massachusetts to Jacksonville Florida and TBD "Folly Island" near Charleston
