Further, said Buckner told me that the paper he signed (B.J.9) was written out, when M.S. Marshall, Joseph G. Marshall's sister brought it to his house to sign. I believe so, as the name William Buckner was written by Joseph G. Marshall in entitling the affidavit which was followed by M.S. Marshall thinking the same would never be the questioned in the signature.
Said J.G. Marshall wrote two affidavits which bear the signature of David Forsen. Said Forsen is a somewhat intelligent negro but his reputation is not good. However, he is reliable as to stating age which he says is 40 years having been born in 1859. Said Marshall put his age as 35 in 1893 and 37 in 94, and makes him testify to existence of claim.

Further, said King Sanders swears the affidavit he signed with said Hays had already been written out when he arrived at office of Joseph G. Marshall.
Further, in the affidavit of William Buckner B.J.9, his affidavit was written by Joseph G. Marshall, it falsely and fraudulently set forth from personal knowledge that affiant knew William Gibson alias John Sanders enlisted under the name of John Sanders in Co. D, 54" Mass. Vol. Inf., and that William Gibson and the John Sanders of said service were and are the same man, when, in fact, affiant knew not of said service or named served under, etc.
