Dr. William Franklin Welch, M.D., b. ... , Ala., ca. 1827/8, in 1880 physician ae. 52 living in Fannin Co., Tex., d. ca. 1887, bur. in Porter's Chapel Cemetery, Fannin Co., Tex. m. Fannin Co., Tex., 28 Sep 1860[1] Find A Grave date of death is 1885 which differs by two years from the date given in Fannin County Tx Gen. Dr Welch's grave is unmarked, exact location has been lost and his date of death is uncertain but will be revised if a primary source is found and the date can be verified. Porter's Church Cemetery, his place of burial, is not well maintained, inactive and there is very little left of the community of Orangeville where the Welchs lived.
