Biography
Hannah Ring was baptized on June 17, 1759, the daughter of George Ring and Lucretia Chipman of Kingston, Massachusetts[1] She is noted in her father's will as Hannah Allen.
In 1763, she emigrated to Yarmouth Nova Scotia along with her parents[2][3]
On January 14, 1773, she married Capt Jeremiah Allen, Jr[2], and their children included:
Hannah, born September 10, 1776, who died November 5, 1777[2]
Lucy, born January 3, 1778, who married Ephraim Cook 2nd[2]
Sarah, born November 29, 1778, who died unmarried[2]
James, born October 30, 1779, who married Margaret Shurtliffe, daughter of Henry, and who died January 23, 1865[2]
Hannah, born September 4, 1781, who married Jeremiah Larkin[2][4]
Eunice, born October 14, 1783, who married James Millar and died July 11, 1856[2]
Bethiah, born June 28, 1785, who married Jacob Vickery, son of Moses, and who died January 4, 1861[2]
Jeremiah III, born August 27, 1792, who married Ruth Scott, daughter of John and who died November 26, 1857[2]
Jerusha, born December 24, 1794, who married James McDorman on May 14, 1841, and then married Asa Killam Jr[2]
Jeremiah died between 1794 and 1804. After 1804, she married Capt. James Kelley, who was also a widower. There were no more children.
Hannah died 25 Jun 1834, and is buried in Chebogue Cemetery in Rockville[5]
