Biography

George Washington Reeves was born in Brunswick Co, Virginia in 1716 (per marriage record) or 1722 (per family bible records).

George Reeves married Mary Jordan when they moved to NC (per marriage record) in 1746, Northampton County, NC, then to Johnston Co NC by 1764, and then to the Watauga settlements.[1]

George and family accompanied daughter Charlotte and her husband James Robertson to the Watauga settlements, now Washington Co, Tennesse. George and Mary, and some of their sons then moved to Pendleton District, SC and rejoined the rest of the family in Nashville starting around 1795.

George Reeves died at "Travelers Rest", Nashville, Davidson Co, TN in 1803.[2]

I am a Reeves descendant. I am trying to enter my family tree. I think George Reeves born 1716 is the son of William Thomas Reeves born 1690 in Va & unknown wife. Next would be Capt George Reeves born 1660 and Hannah Bishop born 1665. Next would be William 1636 and Elizabeth Pegram, then Timothy and Elizabeth Steward, next would be Richard Ryves and Elizabeth Bagshaw. I can't go forward listing my ancestors, so I'll wait to hear from you. I'm new to Wikitree so if I'm not doing this correctly feel free to let me know.
