Mary Ernestine Dyer was born 7 Nov 1848 (calc per obit) to Asa C. Dyer and Martha (Arey) Dyer at South Thomaston, Lincoln, Maine^[1]

Mary/Tene passed away at Owl's Head (Formerly a part of South Thomaston), Knox, Maine on 26 Feb 1927, widow of Francis R. Maddocks, aged 79 yrs, 3 mos, 19 days. Funeral at the late residence. Mary was interred with her husband at Evergreen Cemetery in Owl's Head ^[13]

History of Thomaston, Knox, Me. has her born 1848. Her head stone 1847, obit 1848 (7 Nov 1847/48): "I also have in my possession many letters written by her after my husband's grandfather left Maine and moved to ND." Leslie Maddocks].^[14]
