Biography

John (Grant) Grant younger of Freuchie is a member of Clan Grant.

John 'Mor' Grant was the son of Sir Duncan Grant, 1st of Freuchie.

He married Muriel Mackintosh, daughter of Malcolm Mackintosh, 10th Chief of Mackintosh and 11th of Clan Chattan and Moira Macdonald. They had issue:

  1. William
  2. John, 2nd of Freuchie d. 1 May 1528
  3. Marion[1][2]

He died on 16 September 1482, in the lifetime of the father by , with two younger sons (Patrick, of Ballindalloch, thought to have been his elder brother's twin, d on or after 8 June 1555, from whom the GRANTs OF BALLINDALLOCH and GRANTs OF DALVEY, later DUNLUGUS, claimed desc.

  • William, allegedly ancestor of the GRANTs OF BLAIRFINDY).Probably the member of the Grant clan who m Muriel, dau of Malcolm Mackintosh 10th Ch of his clan. On 9 May 1482 held the lands of Inverallan from.
