Biography

Joshua Church was born the 4th of March, 1708/09, at Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, to Isaac Church & Mary (Hutchins) Church.^[1]

Joshua Church married Annis Johnson (1712–1792). ^[2]

Joshua was granted guardianship to his grandchildren, Jeduthan, Rebecca, Abijah & Oliver Wyman, the 26th of May, 1760. ^[3]

There are 11 children found in Lancaster & Harvard, MA, vital records.^[4][5]

Joshua's death is a bit confused as the vital records of Templeton have two records: one the 3rd of April & the other the 23rd of April, 1766.^[6] However, the original town records & the gravestone, state the 23rd, so that is what is being used.^[7]

The probate of his estate started the 11th of May, 1766, & only mentions his wife, Annis & his son in law, Ebenezer Knight.^[8]
