Biography

James Cushman, child of Elizabeth (Coombs) Cushman and Eleazer Cushman, born at Plymouth, Plymouth, Plymouth Colony, (estimated date 1692), was a descendant of Mayflower passenger Degory Priest.[1]

James married Sarah Hatch at Plymouth, 24 Dec 1722.[1][2] She was not mentioned in his will.[1][3]

James died at Dartmouth, Massachusetts, between 14 Mar 1775 (date of will) and 6 Oct 1778 (date proved)[1]. His will names son Elisha; unmarried daughter Temperance; sons James Seth, Ebenezer, and Thomas; "my five daughters", Patience Cornish; Lydia (deceased, wife of Ephraim Jenney, and her two daughters.[1][3]
