Joshua/Josias Edson, son of Thomas Edson and Elizabeth (Copson) Edson, was baptized in Fillongley, Warwickshire, England on February 2, 1616.[1][2][3] The baptismal record is in latin and spells his first name as "Josuah Edsune."[1]
Carroll Andrew Edson stated that nothing further is known of Joshua.[3] However, there is a record of a marriage at Allesley, Warwickshire on June 1, 1640 between a Josias Edson and a Joane Bonner, which probably relates to him.[4] Joshua/Josias would have been 24 at the time and Allesley is only about 6 miles southeast of Fillongley.
No further records definitively associated with him have been found.
