Joan could not have a mother born in the 1250's if she was born circa 1260. Since she died 1340 or later and Alice Ledet's mother was born 1232 the birthyears seem about right. Given original sources state she was a sister of Sir William Latimer, he must have been the William who married Alice LeDet and his father William (died 1268) was Joan's father although Europasiche Stammtafien and Cokayne have her father as the William who married Alice LeDet (the dates I quote are from Wikitree, others may have different dates).

I was skeptical of the claim of Johanna's parents being William and Alice, but it is backed up:

I checked the Calendar of Documents Related to Scotland, and there are multiple contemporary references to Joan/Johanna Comyn being the sister of Sir William Latimer.

The source cited above that her father is William Sr.'s brother John would then seem to be wrong, unless there is some strong counter-evidence.
