NOTE: Brookline was first settled in 1638 as a hamlet named Muddy River in Boston, and was later incorporated as a separate town, and named Brookline in 1705. Brookline, Norfolk County, Massachusetts was the birthplace and hometown of John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States.
