Biography

Daniel Haskell, son of Joseph Haskell and Mary Graves, was born 16 Dec 1688[1] in Gloucester, Massachusetts.[2][3]

Daniel married Sarah Haskell on 31 Dec 1716 in Gloucester, Massachusetts.[3][4][5] Sarah and Daniel were cousins,[6] sharing the same grandparents, William Haskell and Mary Tybbott.

Sarah and Daniel had the following children:[1][7]

  • Daniel, b. 21 Sep, d. 15 Dec 1717;
  • Daniel, b. 2 Oct, d. 12 Dec 1718;
  • Mary, b. 20 or 30 Oct 1719, d. Nov 1802;
  • Aaron, b. 26 Aug 1721;
  • Caleb, b. 24 Jul 1723, d. 9 May 1801, m. Elizabeth Haskell, 1750;
  • Daniel, b. 27 Apr 1725, d. Oct 1804, m. int. to Hannah Johnson of Ipswich, 1750;
  • Dea. Nehemiah, b. 23 Mar 1727, d. 4 May 1787;
  • Judith, b. 1 Feb 1730, d. 14 Nov 1773;
  • Sarah, b. 22 Dec 1731, d. bef. 19 Jun 1766;
  • Joel, b. 9 Jul 1733, m. Joanna Burnham, 1755;
  • Moses, b. 4 or 15 May 1736, d. 16 Jan 1811, m. int. Sarah Haskell 1763.

Daniel died on 4 or 14 Dec 1768 in Gloucester, Massachusetts, aged 80 years[1][6] He died testate, probate for his estate was opened on 26 Dec 1768 in Essex County, Massachusetts.[8]
