Note that Deacon James Stone, of Groton was the brother of John Stone (Jr.). Additionally James married on 28 Dec 1726 Mary Farwell, sister of his brother John's wife Elizabeth Farwell. This means their children were double first cousins. - LAJD (Johnson-43462)

Research Notes - Caution

a. Research has born-out that John was not the son of Simon Stone and Sarah Farnsworth. He was the son of John Stone and Sarah Nutting, widow of Matthias Farnsworth.^[2]
