"Lachlan Badenoch died in September 1793, before the purposes of the bond were fulfilled. It was not until 1497 that William Mackintosh, Lachlans eldest surviving son by the third wife, Catherine Grant, married Isobel Macniven. She died shortly thereafter, and as there was no issue of the marriage, the line of the old barons Maciven ceased. On the 3d day of April 1497, a bond is granted to the Earl of Huntly by William Lauchlanesone, son of umquhile Lachlan Mackintosh of Gellovie."

Just found the above statements and consider it pertinent if proven true. Again, IF true, this would indicate that his son was born sometime in the 1470s, or earlier, and married to the younger heiress in 1497.
