Cooley-3435 and Cooley-437 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same people. Sarah Cooley Gilliam is in the 1880 census as widowed and in the 1900 census in Thayer, Oregan, Missouri at the age of 78. Her exact death date is December 27, 1905. She is included in Wayland Bryant Jackson's book Roots and Branches : A Family Book published 1984. This is my 3rd great grandmother, I have no doubt about her death date or where she was born. Her parents were married in Stewart, Tennessee and had their first child, Sarah, there. The family moved to Weakley after George William Cooley's father died in 1823. That is where they had second child Jerome.
