Biography
Ichabod Chapman, born about 1695, married Abigail Clothier 4 July 1723 in Colchester.[1]
Children, born in Colchester[2]:
- Abigail, b. 10 March 1723/24; m. Joshua Knight.
- Irene, b. 2 February 1724/25; d. young.
- Ann, b. 27 February 1726/27; m. Samuel Tubbs.
- Irene, b. 4 May 1729; m. Haynes Graves.
- Ichabod, b. 28 September 1732.
- Elisha, b. 13 December 1735.
- Lydia, b. 15 September 1738; m. Joel Chamberlin.
6 July 1772, Ichabod Chapman of Colchester, 'Partly for the Love and Good will I have for my son Elisha Chapman and Partly for the Consideration of the said Elisha maintaining me Honourably and Well both in Sickness and in health during my Natural Life', do give, grant and confirm unto the said Elisha a tract of land in the Parish of New Salem, 'it being a part of the farm I now Live on' containing forty-seven acres. Ack. same day.[3]
