Biography

The correct spelling of his name is Menan. He lived in Dobb's Co NC. Menan did not move to Georgia until after the Rev war. He moved from Dobb's Co to Wilkes Co Georgia in 1785. Menan Monk Sr was not married to Hannah Griffin. His son Menan Monk Jr was married to Hannah Griffin.

Menan Monk had four sons: William, Menan, Richard and Stanley. After Menan Monk's death in 1808, his sons Menan, Richard and Stanley moved to Mobile AL and then to Mississippi where Menan Monk married Hannah Griffin, daughter of Samuel Griffin and Elizabeth Bruner.

Malon/Menin Monk^[1] died about 1808 in Bulloch County, Georgia^[1]

Menan was born about 1730. He passed away in 1808. ^[2]
